Recently, I received little blessings so personal that only God would know these things tickled me. Ever feel that way?
If you read my last blog, you know that I just had a rough month with a time intensive non-fun project. I desperately needed a small break and chose an estate sale. My hubbie and I like estate sales and normally go to at least 5 during a morning. If you haven’t been to an estate sale, a hired company puts all the items in a house for sale and opens it up to the public. Usually, the person who owned the home has passed away and their loved ones do not live close enough to clear out the contents.
I don’t “need” anything so a lot of times, I walk out empty handed and just enjoy a glimpse into this person’s life. Seeing their possessions provides insight like they were a doctor, traveled around the world, believed in God, had small grandchildren, liked fine china, owned a dog.
Because I wasn’t completely done with my project, I only had time for one sale. The home we chose, looked like an ordinary house from the outside.
On the inside, as I went from room to room, this could have been my own home; I mean each room had possessions that I love. The living room was full of old fashion classic movies like “The Good Earth” and “Lawrence of Arabia.” Bookcases of Christian authors. Three bedroom closets full of “my” style of clothing and shoes. Bath and body products I love that were “free” because the sale was ending in half an hour.

So to summarize this blessing, God knew I had time for only one sale, sent me to a house where the owner was so close in personality to mine that we would have likely been the best of friends and He knew I desperately needed some special attention after a rugged work month. Thank you God for knowing me completely!
Psalm 139 Lord, you have examined me
and know all about me.
2 You know when I sit down and when I get up.
You know my thoughts before I think them.
3 You know where I go and where I lie down.
You know everything I do.
4 Lord, even before I say a word,
you already know it.
5 You are all around me—in front and in back—
and have put your hand on me.
6 Your knowledge is amazing to me;
it is more than I can understand.
