Zero

I just found a blogger, Nancy, who posted a very funny blog about the antics of her dearly beloved, departed, mischievous bunny named Zero (not the real Zero pictured above.)

“Zero? What kind of name is Zero and how did she get that,” I wondered?

Doesn’t everyone want to be referred to as a “Ten” not a “Zero”?

Then it struck me that ZERO is the perfect Godly name!

Zero, in my world, is the ultimate synonym for humility!

While most fight in their careers and personal lives to be a “10,” wouldn’t it be better if we were a “0”? If we were last, not first (Jesus’ words)? If we were content with where God places us in life, instead of clobbering everyone to get to the top? Or being courtesy to others on the roads, in stores, in neighborhoods, in home life because we don’t want to live by “entitlement” (step aside because I deserve the top slot)?

Zero doesn’t mean you think poorly about yourself. It means you love God, not yourself. That you are an empty vessel, ready to be used by Him, for His purposes, at any moment.

I asked God to mold me to be a Zero! I asked my husband to call me Zero, instead of Marla. πŸ˜ƒ

This little bunny had the best name ever! At the risk of losing all my readers to Nancy because of her super good humor πŸ˜„πŸ˜„πŸ˜„, here is the link to Zero and his very funny blogger mom: https://wp.me/pdkGfE-1r7

Thanks for the inspiration, Nancy and Zero!

  1. Thank you again, Marla, for your kind words and for sharing Zero’s story. Your remarks about humility in regards to Zero’s name were profound. When you express your thoughts and share God’s Word, your delightful personality shines through. Praise the Lord!
