I texted a friend recently:
Meā¦Do you ever feel numb where you walk around not knowing which end is up? Like you try to focus on something but your brain canāt take another second of things not working. And you just walk around in the daze?
Herā¦All the time.
Meā¦On the negative side, itās probably not good for us. On the positive side, it feels good in a way to be in a little cocoon where the bottom line is, does any of this craziness even matter?
Meā¦The numbness serves as a shelter. Agreed?
Meā¦It might be that Iām feeling an utter lack of control.
Meā¦And in that case, Jesus is all that matters and the rest is bull.
Herā¦Itās all BS! But what happens in the world still hurts even when Iām numb.
Meā¦I get that. Here, letās take a picture of something we can still control.
(See picture of toilet above)
Meā¦The toilet is clean now. Bottom is stained so that doesnāt count.
Meā¦And the sink is clean

Meā¦Thatās all I got. Rest of life is out of my control.
Herā¦I got nothing.
Meā¦Wow, that bad? Not even a clean toilet? Oh wait, you live with 2 guys. Of course you donāt have a clean toilet. Haha
My most recent lessonā¦
We are in chaos on earth and Iāve gotten to the point where I realize that Iām not in control of my life. And that is a perfect place to be. What I think is best for me, may not be what God wants. When my prayer is āI would really like for blah blah blah to happen, but if it doesnāt, I trust that you know more, and love me and I am accepting Your will”, then I truly relax.
Isaiah 55:8-9 NIV
8 āFor My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways My ways,ā says the LORD.
9 āFor as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are My ways higher than your ways,
And My thoughts than your thoughts.
Our loss of control, if given to Jesus, means the ultimate deep fulfilling relationship of complete trust in the one who loves us unconditionally. Amen.
Have a good week folks!
A very unique way of illustrating an important truth of the Christian life, Marla.
Let us continue to give control of our lives to Jesus, who always desires the best for us, his beloved.

Thank you Sally! How are you doing up there? Our country isn’t faring too well. š¢
I fell in love with the bear when i saw him at a country store, in their open rafters! And he is helpful, holding the toilet paper. Ha

My friend just told she cleaned her sink because her family was in chaos . š But yes, with the world going through these changes, we can trust that God is still in control . We just have to trust Him even though it looks out of control. Hugs!

Hi Francis, I thought I posted this before but it was in my drafts folder, not my published. I posted again and see it has Sept 5. So odd. Oh well. Life’s not perfect. Ha

The growing darkness leads us to the place where trusting Jesus is the only thing that really matters. The world fades and we say āit is well with my soulā.

When I was younger I use to clean when things seem out of my control. I knew I could control the vacumn cleaner and dust rags. I don’t do that anymore because, my place really does not need cleaned with just us two.
