Good morning world! How is everyone? Are you liking or disliking the “stay at home” order for the Coronavirus pandemic? Me…I love it and God led me to a scripture that I relate to.
In the Bible, God is talking to Job and is letting Job know that God can and does whatever He wants, and doesn’t need to check with anyone in advance.
Job 39:5 “Who let the wild donkey go free? Who untied its ropes?” GOD CAN AND DID. I FEEL LIKE THAT WILD DONKEY. GOD HAS UNTIED MY ROPES. I HAVE BEEN RELEASED FROM MY NORMAL BUSY LIFE.
Job 39:6. “I gave it the wasteland as its home, the salt flats as its habitat.” GOD GAVE ME STATE LAND OF THE UNINHABITED DESERT RIGHT OUTSIDE OUR HOUSE AND IT IS WONDERFUL TO EXPLORE VERSUS A GYM.
Job 39:7. “It laughs at the commotion in the town; it does not hear a driver’s shout.” I INTERPRET THIS AS THE WILD DONKEY DOESN’T GIVE 2 HOOTS ABOUT WHAT IS GOING ON IN TOWN; HE IS ROAMING THE WASTELAND. I PERSONALLY RELATE TO THIS SCRIPTURE THE MOST DURING THIS PANDEMIC TIME; I DON’T MISS ALL THE COMMOTION OF “TOWN.” I DON’T MISS THE NOISE, PEOPLE HUSTLING AND BUSTLING, TRYING TO GET NO WHERE, ALL THE SOCIAL INTERACTION. I PREFER QUIET SOLITUDE.
Job 39:8. “It ranges the hills for its pasture and searches for any green thing.” JUST LIKE THE WILD DONKEY, I DON’T NEED THE LATEST AND GREATEST OF ANYTHING THE WORLD OFFERS. I ONLY NEED GOD.
Do you relate?
