Most Important Thing God Ever Said is?

In church this morning, the pastor brought up this question, “what is the most important thing God ever said?”

The pastor’s answer was “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no commandment greater than these.” Mark 12:30-31

This is my favorite answer too, after contemplating. If I love the Lord with my whole being, I will be filled with an unimaginable love. Then the second step of taking that love and loving my neighbor with it, is the clincher. There would be no room for bad stuff. No anger, jealousy, pettiness, hatred. This certainly would solve all the world’s problems if we all practiced this. So I agree that this is the most important thing God ever said!
