Introverts love their private nooks! A place to retreat when we’re tapped out. A nourishment center. A replenishment sanctuary.
I have a room at home I call the sun room but it doesn’t have a door. This presents a problem sometimes, if I need complete isolation. My husband and I work around it though since we take turns giving each other the house one day a week. Like he’ll golf and I’ll have our home from 7am to 6pm.
We were on vacation and the floorplan was 2 levels (upstairs and downstairs.) At first I was going berserk. Where the heck is my cooling towel (or book, slippers, cell phone, jacket, hiking shoes etc etc etc)? Up and down the steps, I’d trot.
But I soon found value in this floorplan because my husband preferred the ground level and I had the top floor to myself. Yippee for us!
I know a vlogger who rented an office space for alone time.
Curious…where is your replenishment spot? Describe in words or better yet, post a picture!
God bless you!
The sun room sounds like such a cozy spot! As a mom, I don’t get too much alone time, but I do get some rest in my own room, which I’ve decorated differently than the rest of the house. It’s nice! God bless.

In the morning, I wake up at 4:30 AM while my wife sleeps until 8:30 AM, so I get 4 uninterrupted hours on the couch in the family room with a cup of hot coffee for blogging and reading.

Oh my-I don’t have a defined replenishment space. I guess there’s always the basement! 🤣

Hi Nancy! I’m from Pittsburgh and we called them cellars. They were cooler and had the “cellar” smell. If I had one now, that’s where I’d be for sure! Do you feel like you need a replenishment area?

I have a recliner in the den and since my husband sleeps late every day that we don’t have an appointment, I can start a day with peace and quiet and in total solitude.

Sounds perfect 👌 Recliners are so comfortable. I like in marriage how 2 people make it work. Thank you for commenting!

I don’t have a designated area. But I do have a space that I tend to sit mostly in. Once hubby and son have left for the day, I make sure to use use some time during the day for some solitude. That recharges me and I love it.

Hi Manu, you are fortunate. We are both retired and had to learn how to have the space and time that we need. Pray that your husband doesn’t retire soon. Heehee. Thanks for commenting 🙂

Funny you say that because I have thought about it and realise that hubby and I will have to figure things out when retirement comes 😁. Got some time for that, will cross that bridge when the time comes.

No, our basement/cellar isn’t too funky. Actually, my desk is in our bedroom, and if I partially close the door, my husband won’t come in. 🥰
