I haven’t had much time for blogging but just read a good story from my blogger friend, Cindi. She was blogging about how she’s focusing on God’s blessings and being positive.
I am too, and have a quick story of my own. I live in Phoenix and the roads are pretty rough (i.e. many nuts behind the wheel.) I’m usually focused on whoever is not being nice (i.e. causing near accidents) and I’m grumbling.
One day, I decided to thank God for my safety, with every car that drove by me. There are a whole lot more people that follow road laws than the one nut case that doesn’t. Then I started asking God to bless each driver.
By that point, I was so joyful that I was asking blessings for each house I passed!
Instant mood changer! Thank you God!
And thank you Cindi for your inspirational attitude story!
Marla, that is such a wonderful day to change our attitude and perspective when grumpy. Have missed your posts. God bless you 💙

I feel the same too Marla, life has been busy and there seems to be plenty to do but not enough time. I am trying to manage my time better and prioritise. Some days are better than others with what I get done.

“A successful day is keeping in touch with Jesus all day long.” I saw this long ago and love it! ❤ Happy day to you Manu!

My husband and I drove through Phoenix in 2018 in the darkened hours of the late evening. It was a stress-filled nightmare! So, God bless you and Cindi for your positivity. It’s a Godly attitude to nurture. 🙂

Wow that must have been a stressful drive if you still remember it! I feel like I should apologize for Phoenix drivers. 😆

Ha, ha! No, you shouldn’t apologize! Maybe I should. If you were on the main 1000 lane highway through Phoenix in September of 2017, we may have cut you off by accident. : )

Haha. Not me, I purposely don’t take our freeways! 😆

Thanks for sharing! I know there are a number of us reading this that will be practicing this today – myself included (former grumbler here lol!).

Yey! I already failed at positivity with my radiology company, on the phone this morning, after 1/2 hour of not finding anyone helpful. Sometimes I just can’t figure out how to be thankful things. 😕

That is always frustrating when customer support isn’t well…supportive! And it’s always a learning process. Thankfully, we have God’s grace on those “off” days! 🙂

Also from a recovering grumbler! No no, I like your way better, former grumbler. Shows it is in the past tense!

Nice post! Gratitude always changes my attitude. God is good all the time no matter what might be going on around us. I love that you applied that and it made your day. I confess that I don’t always jump to that mindset when I’m in painful or frustrating situations, but the more we practice, the quicker we are to respond well rather than react negatively!

If you’ve read my blogs, you’ll know that I share your frustration with other drivers, though here in little Lex (pop=300,000), our problems are not nearly as severe as the Phoenix valley, having visited my brother in Scottsdale a couple times!
I found praying for the other drivers BEFORE I even start the car helps, and then praying for the handful of “crazies” who tailgate or pass illegally. It can be difficult to remember, but it is true that Father loves them just as much as he loves “self-righteous” drivers like me! 😌

As usual, doing better than we deserve, Marla.
If we ever get down AZ way to see my brother, we will contact you by email and connect. Or if you are ever up KY way, let us know and we’ll show you some of the beauty of the Bluegrass.

Dear mariagro…did you know that when we send up praises to God they become contagious. When praises go up, blessings come down. Hallelujah!!!
