We had everything set to go on a 2 week road trip to Idaho, from our Phoenix home.
Hubbie had some health issues and the thoughts of driving 800 miles one way, were painful.
Relying on God, HE redesigned our vacation completely.
We ended up doing a staycation, 45 miles from home at an airbnb that had community amenities. The amenities included a gorgeous pool (see pic), 2 fitness centers the size of regular gyms like Mountainside Fitness, tennis and pickleball courts (which we’d been wanting to try), an indoor track, walking trails every which way, discount golf at a beautiful course.
The airbnb was spacious with every comfort a host could think of in a peaceful neighborhood.
We got all our money back from the road trip airbnbs, rented vehicle refunded, saved on gas at $5 a gallon, so the staycation ended up being 1/3 of the cost.
We got to relax, exercise and eat healthy instead of constantly being on the move. This made it better for a healthy relationship between Dave and I since traveling can be stressful.
And the best part ever is I could focus on my 90 day Bible reading challenge which is my main goal.
Lesson…when things don’t go right (aka according to your plan), see what God is doing and follow, versus fight Him. Trust Him, He knows best. Thank you God for your continued blessings in my life. ❤❤❤

Glad it turned out better than what was originally planned with getting the refunds from the other places too.

When a staycation has so many pluses, it is a great trade. Who knew that you would get to enjoy something so great, so close to home? What a bonus to get to focus on your 90 day Bible Reading.
