Hi yinz! If you are unfamiliar with this word, here is the definition. Yinz is a Pittsburgh equivalent to y’all. π
We had planned a trip to my hometown of Pittsburgh awhile ago and it was up in the air because of my hubbie’s medical issue that popped up. I wasn’t sure if we would be canceling the airline, airbnb and visit up to two days before!
I’ve learned though to trust that Jesus knows what is best so I waited patiently.
HE ended up blessing me with my desire and through some good news, we were back on track for the trip! Yippee!
We could have visited so many people and places as I love to show my hometown off to Dave, my husband, but this time, I really just wanted to hang with my cousin and visit my college roomie. Dave was really good about going with the flow.
My cousin cooked and cooked and cooked. Yes, we are Italian. π Then we walked on the very trail where I learned to love nature (I was 3-4 years old and my mom and I had decorated a shoebox that I stuck leaves and acorns in.)

One day, we drove to the place I grew up and I was so happy to see my original apartment was still intact, 100+ years old.

I also surprised my ex-college roomie, with the help of her husband. Dave and I drove an hour to roomie’s house, Dave stayed in the vehicle and watched while I knocked on the door with a bag of her favorite cookies covering my face! She crumbled more than the cookies when she saw me!
Her and her husband live near our college so we drove over and spent the day reminiscing. Ok, let me correct this; my roomie and I spent the day reminiscing while the guys rolled their eyes because the college has changed so much that our memories sounded fake. Haha

Thank you so much for a beautiful trip Jesus! I certainly feel this scripture strongly… Romans 8:28 “And we know that in all things God works for the goodΒ of those who love him, who have been calledΒ according to his purpose.” I feel so loved! β€β€β€

So wonderful Marla. Being from WVA we said yinz also. It seems they liked everything from Pittsburgh including the Steelers as we had no professional team of our own.
So glad you had a nice time. God blesses us so much. Sending hugs. β‘β‘β‘

Thanks! Really? I didn’t know that. I love WV. I have the best memories of Sutton. Ever hear of it? Just a real small place.

Yes I heard of Sutton. We were on the Ohio River. Little town called Paden City. Mom was all over though from Wheeling to the Ohio side of the river Martin’s ferry…
