My Hope and Joy

(Compliments of Shona Ferch Photography)

Well, I was all happy that my internet service was back up.  Then I got caught up on current events.  Wow. The world is in more trouble than ever I see.  I started thinking…

What if your present trials such as  (these are all issues people in my life are currently having):

–Someone you love is very sick

–Your employer is demanding you get the vaccine

–Your loved one has addiction issues and they are getting worse

–Your children have gender questions

–You have debilitating fears and anxiety

–You feel a complete loss of control over everything in your life

–You are sick

–You are being bullied at school

–You watch your child repetitively rejected

–Your son was deployed to Afghanistan last week

–You can’t get a renter out of your house that you need to sell

–Your mental health is taking a dive

 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢

NOW, what if these present trials had a time limit, like only 5 more days of this?

Would you be able to hang in there for 5 more days of this, knowing that the trial will end?

Yes, most anyone could.

I try to keep that perspective.  I believe the trials will end sooner, than later.  That’s how I feel because I believe in Jesus.  I believe all that is happening is not a surprise.   I believe it will get worse because the Bible says so.  I believe that those who choose Jesus will not be here much longer, the trials will end.  And I believe all believers on earth, will be whisked into Heaven.

1 Thessalonians 4:15-17 NIV

15 According to the Lord’s word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep.

16 For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.

17 After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.

If you don’t know Jesus, I am reblogging a portion of a blogger friend’s post, Marques Jeffries, as it is so well written:

“If you are reading this and do not know Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, I would like to extend this invitation to you to receive the gift of salvation today. You can do so by praying and truly believing the prayer below, or by praying to God in your own Words.

PRAYER:
God,
I confess that I have sinned against You, and I know that there is nothing I can do by my own efforts to change my condition. I believe that Jesus Christ shed His blood and died on the cross for my sins; And that He rose from the grave on the Third Day to grant me eternal life.

I know You love me, God, and I love You. I place my faith and trust only in You to conform my heart to Your will; And to order my steps everyday, from this day forward. Thank You , Lord, for saving me.

When we accept salvation, God saves us immediately, and makes us fit for entrance into Heaven, however some changes God will empower you to make easily, while making other changes will be a process that may take months or even years to make.

Regardless of your situation, I assure you that the Lord loves you more than you could ever comprehend, and He will be with you every step of the way. Pray, study God’s Word and ask Him to give you revelation of what you are reading. I also pray that the Lord will direct you to a true Bible teaching, Jesus loving church, where you can have the support of other believers.”

  1. Excellent post Marla. There’s much suffering all around. I pray that the Lord would strengthen his people as the days get darker. And not only strengthen, but give us eyes to see as you say that these trials are temporary. May we be found looking up and waiting for our Savior to take us home.

Luke 12:36  And ye yourselves like unto men that wait for their lord, when he will return from the wedding; that when he cometh and knocketh, they may open unto him immediately.

Luke 12:40 Be ye therefore ready also: for the Son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not.

    1. Hi Cathy! Thank you. I just prayed for you this morning. And Chris. I’m grateful there will be another seven years after the Rapture, in which people left, will get another chance to chose Jesus, although there will be horrendous trials. Love the scriptures you chose.

      1. We appreciate your prayers Marla, they are still needed. We also pray for you and your husband nightly. ❤️

I believe when the Lord returns that will be the end and there will be no chance for repentance. The seven year “left behind”teaching is dispensational in its theology. It is extremely popular in today’s church world. I believed it too in the past because that’s what I was taught, but I don’t believe that anymore.

  2. You are encouraging to read because of your faith in the Word and God’s promises. It did not promise us a care free life, but a life with trouble. He did promise to help us respond to that trouble by following Him. Blessings.
