I Want to Hold Your Hand

Life’s issues creep up out of nowhere sometimes. You are sitting there minding your own business and suddenly you think to yourself “Wow, I didn’t see that one coming.” I had one of those creepers come up this week and thank God it came and went already. I’m not sharing because if revisited, it will hash up old news and take away from the joyful Sunday I’m having.

The point of my blog is that when the creeper was occurring, I didn’t try to put my brain into overdrive and start trying to solve it myself this time. I prayed “Dear Jesus, you know everything and I need you to be clear if this issue, is really an issue. Do I need to take action? Please no subtleties, I need full blown “hit me on the head” signs from you. I trust you Jesus and know that if your answer will mess up my stable life, I will still be ok because I have you to hold my right hand as you promise us.”

Isaiah 41:13 For I am the LORD your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you.

I went for a hike in the desert and as I talked to God, I was clasping my right hand in His and felt so comforted! Try it!

God did resolve my creeper. It turned out all I needed was fear to be removed. HE also reassured me a lot this week with His special signs of love for me…lots of heart shaped rocks on my hikes, lots of dimes in parking lots to find (and He seems to be raising my allowance to quarters even, ya!) And the above picture I opened this morning, from my friend Sandy, shows God’s heart in the clouds!

Thank you God for loving us so much! We need only to seek you!
