God’s Conversation Starter!

Hi everyone, hope you had a great week!

I got this pretty shirt as a gift and wore it to Bible study. I had a sleeveless shirt on underneath and was going to take my new “pray” shirt off after study, but with the cool weather, I wore it to my next stops of Costco and Frys.

I had so many people commenting on and complimenting my prayer shirt, I lost count! Seems lots of people love Jesus and prayer, and it just takes a bit of prompting (prayer shirt) to get them to express their love!

Ironically (wink), at Bible study, we were discussing Jesus telling his disciples to shake the dust off their feet if they aren’t welcome. Matthew 10:14 “If anyone will not welcome you or listen to your words, leave that home or town and shake the dust off your feet.”

Well, Phoenix is a town that welcomes Jesus! This shirt blessed others by seeing it and reminding them of prayer. And it blessed me by seeing other’s love for our Savior! I’m wearing it every week! A special thanks to Tammy for buying this wonderful witnessing tool. ❤

  1. I have hats that have JESUS along with a Scripture, or Jesus is my Savior, or I love Jesus, written on them. I wear them whenever I go out. I can’t tell you how many believers have been blessed when they see the hat, and it blesses me to come into contact with God’s people! Such joy! I pray for that, and I also pray that when unbelievers see the name of Jesus that the Lord would minister to them. It’s a great witnessing tool, as is a shirt. 🙌🏻

  2. My brother, who is a family counselor, has reems of stories about how just a smile and a kind word in public situations has diffused conflicts and opened the door to sharing about Jesus. I am still learning to watch for “God opportunities” in stressful situations, but usually comment to others when I see them bearing a message of Christ on their clothes, and almost always receive a blessing in return.

  3. I’ve never been to Phoenix, but this post made me want to go! This post also made me wonder what the reaction would be in other major cities as opposed to Phoenix. I’m interested to know, but I’m certain no research on this exists.

    1. Hi Stacey! How are you? I haven’t been on WordPress for awhile. We’ve been vacationing and purging our possessions like mad. It makes me feel much closer to Jesus, when I get rid of excess.

      It was neat to review this particular post and with autumn weather, I’ll start wearing my Christian shirts again! Take care my friend!
