Hi everyone! How was your week? I missed writing my blog last Sunday because we were on a glorious Colorado vacation. We stayed at a farmhouse in a rural area, overlooking hayfields and mountain backdrops.
Returning home, I checked WordPress blogs on Friday, and a fellow blogger wrote about a current world concern that I have had also. While I think it is fascinating to live in these times which biblically, seem like the end times, my vacation gave me a different perspective of how to handle the current times.
Here is what I replied to my blogger friend:
“I was concerned about the same things as you stated. I just got back from vacation where there was no internet. I even kept texting to a bare minimum, so pretty much isolated from the world. AND WHAT I FOUND WAS PEACE. Every day, God gave me blessings in the form of animals, nature, friendly neighbors at the farm. What I realize is that the world, via internet mostly, offers fear (for me anyway.) I know what the Bible says about these current times and it is important to just follow where God is leading us individually, day by day.
At home before vacation, I had a tendency to miss God’s blessings, because I am overstimulated by a bombardment of information, mostly from the internet. Now that I am back from vacation, I will do my best to focus on God and His blessings that are before me. Apparently, I am one that can’t do that with internet availability. In fact, I am going to copy and paste this for my Sunday blog. Hugs to you!”
So my big lesson is there are so many world events happening, I become obsessed. I have felt that it is good to be educated and keep my eyes open because it is biblical prophecy in action. That’s fascinating. But it is also a detriment because with each event, I know that I am not in control and it causes fear.
Here is an example. I read about water and other countries already having dire shortages (no water to drink.) I live in the southwest and we have been in a drought for many years, yet construction of new developments are rampant. So where are we getting water for new people and businesses? This makes fear grow in my mind. Now if I didn’t read that, I would still be conscious of the water “I” use because I believe in conservation. And I would be JOYFUL that God is still giving me water, not fearful that I may not have any someday. That may happen, but I want to be joyful of all the days I have water.
There are so many blessings God is bestowing on us, and I refuse to let the internet take any more of my precious time that God gives me. On vacation, after a day of wishing I had internet, I found things to do and see, that made me happy and they were all God things.

Every area of the farmhouse inside and outside radiated peace:

Please pray with me:
Dear Jesus, thank you so much for a perfect vacation. Show me the ways to continue your peace. I trust that you will show me what you want me to know, when you want me to know it, and I will not be cluttering my mind anymore with fear from the world events. I am so grateful that you are in control, you will win the battle and I will be with you forever and ever. Amen.
