Look Who Took Care Of Me!

Some days are great, others not so much and by the end of the day, my prayer is “if it your will, PLEASE let tomorrow be better.” πŸ˜€ Do you relate?

I had 11 errands/stops on 5/15/21 and was pretty tired (ok, exhausted) by the end of my day’s jaunt.

At our house, I am working on redecorating, after purging, one room at a time. My husband was away and I was hoping when he returned, it would be a pleasant surprise to have a “new” look.

I bought extra goods like comforters, blankets, pillows, wall hangings etc, to try with the intention of returning those items that didn’t work. Some store policies nowadays have no problem using your credit card to return but the places I went to, specifically said I must have the receipt. No problem, as I’m very organized and keep those little gems.

I tried my merchandise at home and made my selections, and piled up the items to be returned. BUT the return pile didn’t have receipts! I spent about 2 hours searching everywhere possible. Nothing. And I got minimal sleep that night, backtracking all my steps of the 8 hour day, because it is so out of character for me to lose receipts.

The next morning, before I rolled out of bed, I said to Jesus “Good morning, I feel like I’m losing it sometimes and need your help in this smallest of matter please.” I dragged my bleary-eyed self from the bed and started looking again.

The sun was shining in the living room now and I saw a glimpse of paper, under the dresser, by the shredder. This was definitely not evident (like the only time I’d notice is if I moved the dresser to clean underneath and who does that other than to paint the room? πŸ€ͺ)

Yes, it was my receipts in question! I burst into tears because I spent much time and energy on the the receipt searching project and Jesus showed me where they were!

After settling down, I looked at my banking receipt, also done on my long day of 11 stops. A nice young “WOMAN πŸ‘§” had done the transaction. Nothing unusual occurred.

But then I saw it…there was something most extraordinary. The receipt didn’t have my female bank teller’s name. Look at my picture above.

JESUS HAD TAKEN CARE OF ME! ❀❀❀❀❀

Thank you Jesus for ALWAYS taking care of me! I love you too!

    1. Thank you Francis! Yes, I questioned why I didn’t ask Him immediately. Self will. πŸ‘ŽπŸ‘Ž I like how He let’s us struggle on our own until we turn to Him. He is always molding us. Thank you for taking your time to read! I hope God fills your Sunday with peace.

    1. Thank you, as the world seems to get harder and harder, clinging to Him is so necessary. Do you find that? I felt so loved. Thank you for reading my post and blessing to you also.

      1. Hi! marlagro, Yes! I too find it very important to cling to Jesus Christ, our true life GPS. This world is unfortunately becoming more plagued by sin as each day grows…

Our Father in Heaven is working on sustaining his children as well seeking the lost daily…

Personal side not since the accident in December of 2020 that broke my leg where I needed surgery… I have been going through physical and mental rehabilitation and clinging to God more than I have before the accident has got me through all these months and a stronger relationship with Jesus Christ.

  2. Love this! God is so good! I have a story, too. Remember I wrote about joining the gym? Then I started feeling like I should wait because of financial reasons. Then I checked the mail and there was an unexpected check ! πŸ™‚
