God is in Control

There are many times a day when I think the world is so suckie anymore.

But then I see this…a jackrabbit in our yard, coming to drink water:

See his size compared to the regular wild bunny (Big ears Jackrabbit on left):

And this…Baby bunny drinking from the large water bowl and Mom drinking from the tiny bowl (“you silly wabbits”)  And look for Chipmunk heading for both bowls:

Chipmunk on rock. A second after I snapped picture, he pushed Mom bunny out of way, until she jumped in air and stomped, telling him to back off. Haha

And this…beautiful spiny desert saguaro, decorated with a hat of flowers:

And I know that God is completely in control.  HE makes all creatures, large and small.  HE gives us the water to fill the bowls.  HE gives us the plants that grow amazing sizes, and bloom gorgeous buds, even with lack of water.

HE.  KNOWS .  ALL.

Thank you God for being completely in control.  We just need to depend on you and trust you, each moment of our life, the life that you so graciously give us.  Amen.

Isaiah 41:10

So do not fear, for I am with you;
    do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
    I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Romans 8:28

 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

      1. I’ve never seen a jackrabbit before. They are cute. Every area of God’s creation is so unique.
        I have some small succulent plants in a terrarium in my prayer room.
        It is amazing to see these plants reach such great heights in their natural environment, as you showed us in your photos. 🤗⚘

        1. Yes for sure! I’d love to see a picture of your terrarium! I created one of those in my botany class in high school and the plants thrived for many years. They loved being in a glass bowl with saran wrap over top. God is so good to us!

  1. I exhaled reading this and seeing your photos! Thank you. Beautifully written reminder of the beauty our beautiful Savior (that’s a lot of beautiful!) has created for us to stop and enjoy!! Oh the refreshment built in to our “sucky world”! (Your weren’t wrong about that either!)

  2. I’ve never seen a Jackrabbit before, so seeing it next to a wild rabbit was enlightening. Mama rabbit and baby rabbit were a hoot drinking from the wrong-sized bowls! It’s a joy to read about your love of God and God’s creatures. Thank you for sharing!
