Day Dreaming

There were so many trials this week going on for my friends and family that compassion was the number one need.

Compassion is a great gift to give and God wants that.  Galatians 6:2 “ Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.”  And when I asked others to pray for people that need it, it never fails to amaze me how people that don’t know each other, freely give the most intimate thing…prayer!

I wrote my draft blog on Thursday.  I needed to step away from reality so I did a bit of day dreaming.

I dreamed of a country cottage with pretty shutters on the windows and one of those half doors that are popular in Ireland to keep the kids in, animals out and light and air free flowing.  The bedroom includes a soft cozy bed that you sink into, covered by a fluffy comforter with small flowers on it.  The kitchen is bright, cheery, airy, clean with a cobblestone floor.  Outside there are birds, bees, bunnies, deer, all tame, like pets.  The cottage is in a woodsy area with lots of trees and wild flowers.

There is a good friend next door to my cottage.  We often walk down to the stream together, sit on a bench and talk and talk about things such as books we’ve been reading.  Then we dip our toes in the iced cold stream for a thrill.  I go to bed early, rise with the gorgeous sun and praise God.

What a wonderful daydream, just a simple quiet life. Thank you for my refreshing retreat, if only in my mind, dear Jesus.

Thank you for taking care of my friends and answering my prayers, and please continue for those not out of the woods yet, especially Micheal, Laura and Colton.   I see miracle after miracle of answered prayer.  Thank you so much Jesus. We love you.  Amen.

  1. I could see myself being the good friend in the cottage next door. 😊 (I read a lot of historical fiction.) Compassion is such an amazing gift from God, and helps us to get outside of ourselves, so that we can take the time to uplift others. Wonderful post! 💐

    1. This thought is so lovely! Isn’t it wonderful to have the internet? We didn’t know each other at all and now we day dream together! And I’ll take it one step further where we hang out forever at our Lord’s home. ❤❤❤ Thank you for taking the time to read this.
